2017 INSPIRE | HEALTHCARE AWARDS: CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
CINCINNATI – Nominations are now being accepted for Inspire | Healthcare 2017, the region’s premier annual healthcare event and awards celebration. This year’s award categories are the Gen-H Award, the Richard M. Smith MD Leadership in Quality & Safety Improvement Award, and the Informatics Solutions Award. Winners will be announced during the awards celebration on November 1 at the Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown Hotel, located at 36 E. 4th Street.
The awards seek to recognize individuals, teams, and/or organizations for inspiring the Greater Cincinnati healthcare community in areas of innovation, informatics, quality improvement, and population health, with winners announced at the Inspire | Healthcare celebration.
The award categories are as follows:
The Gen-H Award recognizes an individual, team, or organization that has demonstrated progress on the Gen-H aim of making the healthy choice the easy choice where we live, work, learn, or play. Examples of work includes: positively addressing health equity gaps, making healthy foods available for all, integrating physical activity into our daily lives, activating the care system to continuously improve prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, and creating stronger partnerships between healthcare professionals and public/private community resources that support health.
Richard M. Smith MD Leadership in Quality Improvement Award
(NEW! Two Categories: Health System and Care Partner)
First presented in 2003 in memory of Dr. Richard Smith, a tireless leader and proponent of the safety of all patients, this award recognizes an individual or team who exemplifies commitment to quality improvement, makes it an organizational priority, and serves as a role model for those working to enhance the quality of care within their organization and throughout the community.
Informatics Solutions Award
The Informatics Solutions Award acknowledges the individual, team, or organization that has applied products from the hb/suite of services – either data services, notification products, or business intelligence – to create a solution to an ongoing challenge.
Each of the awards should demonstrate innovation and a compelling new approach in delivering better health, improving care, and/or lowering costs.
All nominations must include a brief description of the nominee’s work as it pertains to the award category, as well as a description of the impact resulting from this work in terms of measurable outcomes:
- Why is this project worthy of recognition?
- How has it achieved a high business or clinical value?
- How has it improved health in the community?
- How does it differ from other solutions in the field?
