Kelly Harrison has recently been promoted to Manager, Regional Trauma Services at The Health Collaborative. Serving as Regional Trauma Coordinator for the previous six years, Kelly has demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and leadership necessary to advance her role to manager. Her comprehensive understanding of the regional trauma system is integral to the collection and dissemination of registry data from both trauma and non-trauma facilities, and to maintaining The Health Collaborative’s relationships with each facility.
“We are fortunate to have someone with Kelly’s dedication to trauma services at the regional level,” said Tonda Francis, VP, Regional Coordination and Clinical Initiatives. “She brings a level of experience and personal passion for the work that really makes her an asset to our department.”
Part of Kelly’s role includes management of the regional Tristate Trauma Coalition, bringing together representatives from Cincinnati’s trauma system for periodic meetings and training opportunities. She works as a liaison to coalition member facilities who submit data to the Tristate Trauma Registry, participate in performance improvement activities, and attend trauma-specific education. “I’m looking forward to continuing my work with the Tristate Trauma Coalition,” Kelly shared. “It’s important to me that injured patients receive the highest quality care when visiting a tristate-area emergency department. Ensuring quality data is being collected, analyzed, and reported, and connecting area healthcare providers to quality training, will continue to be my highest priorities.”
Kelly has 14 years of trauma system experience and two registry certifications: CSTR (Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry) and CAISS (Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist), in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Wilmington College.
