“Payment Reform Basics” Webinar
March 30, 2016, Noon-1:00pm
What do you need to know? How should you prepare?
Let’s face it, healthcare payment reform is complicated and ever-changing. What’s with all those acronyms: ACO, BPCI, VBP, PCMH, the ACA? What do they mean? Where did these payment models come from? How do all of these initiatives affect your particular healthcare setting? And what additional changes are expected in the future?
Designed to be a forum for general discussion, this webinar is an opportunity to collaboratively investigate the changing landscape and what it may mean for you and your organization.
We will cover the fundamentals of the four basic federal payment models:
- Fee for Service: Payments are based on volume of services, not quality or efficiency
- Link to Quality: At least a portion of payments vary based on the quality or efficiency of health care delivery
- Alternative Payment Method: Some payment is linked to the effective management of a population or an episode of care, creating opportunities for shared savings
- Population Based Method: Clinicians and organizations are responsible for the care of a beneficiary for a long period and are paid based on meeting a combination of quality and service utilization metrics
The cost to join the webinar is $30 for Health Collaborative members and $50 for non-members.
