The Health Collaborative has two big events to tell you about, both on November 4.
Those of you who were fans of the Annual Meeting of the Greater Cincinnati Health Council will be pleased to know that invitations will go out soon for a similar event. It will be called Inspire 2015.
We will be hosting this celebration at the Anderson Pavilion in Smale Riverfront Park, followed by networking and drinks at Carol Ann’s Carousel. This afternoon program will celebrate the progress and dedication of our members in pursuit of excellence in patient care. We will carry on the tradition of selecting winners of the 13th Annual Richard M. Smith MD Leadership in Patient Safety Award, and the FY15 Hoxworth/Health Collaborative Blood Drive Awards. We will also recognize innovation and participation in our public report, YourHealthMatters.org.
Our keynote speaker for the event is Aneesh Chopra, former Chief Technology Officer of the United States, appointed by President Barack Obama and the first ever to hold that office.
But wait, there’s more!
On the morning of November 4, in partnership with our friends at Cintrifuse, we will host an important health innovation event.
Innovation Exchange: Digital Health Edition will be held at the new Cintrifuse headquarters in Over-the-Rhine. This event brings to town a dozen health startups from around the country. Think “Shark Tank” for health.
The entrepreneurs will be pitching their innovations to our members who make, or influence, buying decisions that have technology components. Members will then have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions for product improvement, make arrangements for product demos, or discuss further business. Also on the program is Josh Rosenthal, founder of Rowdmap, a platform for identifying unwanted variances in health care settings, and a keynote address by Aneesh Chopra.
The startups were recruited based on a survey of our members, which indicated our health care community has a strong interest in mobile technology, wearable technology, innovations in telemedicine, and tools that connect data across multiple settings.
You may receive invitations to one or both events. While the afternoon is a celebration for people at every level of our member organizations, the morning is a smaller gathering for key innovation decision makers in areas such as: strategy, innovation, new initiatives, patient experience, IT, quality improvement, and compliance.
