Healthcare providers and community stakeholders celebrate achievements in improving care

CINCINNATI — Those who have made significant contributions in improving healthcare in Greater Cincinnati were recognized on November 8th at the 2018 Inspire | Healthcare Event. The Health Collaborative celebrated excellence in the Greater Cincinnati region in the areas of informatics, quality improvement, population health, and diversity & inclusion in front of a sold-out crowd of over 300 at The Center.

The following individuals and organizations were honored:

Tayyab Diwan, MD: Our Inspire | Healthcare Champion Award is the Associate Professor of Surgery, Division of Transplantation at UC Health. Dr. Diwan’s commitment is unmatched when it comes to making the future of healthcare better for generations to come.

Avondale Children Thrive Health Champions: The Gen-H Award-winning team connects families with community resources and opportunities that promote maternal and child health.

TriHealth 2020 Commitment to Diversity: The Inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Award winner creates a culture of diverse talents and perspectives that will enable each individual to contribute fully in the pursuit of TriHealth’s mission and vision.

Pat Davis-Hagens: The Richard M. Smith MD Leadership in Quality Improvement Award winner serves as the Market President & CEO – Central Market and Chief Nursing Officer, Mercy Health – Cincinnati; Nursing Recruitment and Retention Program. Davis-Hagens led a team that altered Mercy Health’s nursing recruitment and retention strategy radically.

UC Health – Clinical Improvement Program Implementation Team: The Informatics Solutions Award winner established a Care Management workflow within Epic to easily identify patient management needs beyond primary care visits.

UC Health – West Chester Hospital: Most Improved
