Advance staff capacity for working with infectious organisms and other emerging pathogens of public health concern; Improve biosafety practices for handling/processing highly infectious specimens; Serve as a refresher; Improve coordination of biosafety practices between public health labs and clinical partners; Better equip labs to serve their respective jurisdictions in the proper inactivation and disposal of specimens and other laboratory waste from suspected highly infectious agents.
