Andrew Yarnall, Director, IT Solutions Architecture

The Health Collaborative recently welcomed Andrew Yarnall to the team as our new Director, IT Solutions Architecture!

 

Andrew leads our analytics and application engineering teams, and drives the management of our hb/suite technology service line to ensure customer needs are met both internally and externally. He comes to us from Keysource Medical in Blue Ash where he led an IT team focused on systems integration, business intelligence, and infrastructure. We took a few minutes to get to know a bit about Andrew and his world.

Q: Hi, Andrew! Can you begin by giving us an idea of what your role at THC is all about? 
A: My role is to manage the technological solutions and integration architecture. I also get to work with and manage an amazing group of IT professionals.

Q: Where did you grow up, and how has it shaped who you have become?
A: I grew up in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. The area is blue collar, high work ethic, in the middle of nowhere. My dad was a truck driver and my mom was a nurse. Everyone grew up working hard. It was a close knit community.

Q: What is your background?
A: My whole career has been in the IT industry.

Q: What’s your favorite stress-relieving activity outside of the office, and why?
A: I’m involved in my area’s athletic community. Usually if I’m not at work I’m there playing soccer and baseball with my two kids.

Q: What are you most proud of, personally or professionally?
A: Professionally I’ve built some really cool integrations for companies. I’ve built a lot of processes that have saved companies a lot of money. Personally, I’m proud of my children who are well-mannered and all-around good kids.

Q: Where is your favorite vacation spot? Or, tell us a bit about your most favorite vacation ever.
A: The week before I started at The Health Collaborative my family and I went to Myrtle beach for the week and on the way back stopped at Gatlinburg.

Q: If you could, what time period would you visit in history?
A: I would go back and visit the time of the dinosaurs and see the massive creatures like the Brontosaurus and T-Rex.

Q: If you were stuck on an island and could choose one person to be stuck with who would it be? Why?
A: This is a hard one because I have two kids but if I would only pick one it would have to be my wife.

Q: What is your favorite Netflix or Hulu show?
A: Letterkenny on Hulu

Q: If you could drink one drink other than water for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Craft beer

Q: What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?
A: A lawyer

Q: Did you play any sports in high school or college?
A: Baseball
