Meet Jason Bubenhofer, Senior Manager of HR Operations & Workforce Intelligence here at The Health Collaborative. Jason Bubenhofer is a key member of the team with a passion for data that helps us make sense of the stories shaping our region’s healthcare landscape. We interviewed him for this month’s hashtag#StaffSpotlight.
What are you working on currently that you are excited about?
I lead our Workforce & Diversity Survey, which is shared out twice a year and tracks trends across three decades of workforce data. I like seeing how each cycle tells a new story, from pre COVID patterns to today’s shifting labor market, and how those insights help guide our team’s strategy and decision making.
Do you have a favorite part of your job?
I like making data understandable. I enjoy digging into new data sets, spotting meaningful shifts, and translating complex analytics into insights anyone can grasp. My goal is to make data feel less intimidating and a lot more useful. Specifically, I try to simplify data so anybody I’m showing it to can understand it.
Do you have activities you love outside of work?
I am a longtime summer softball player and an assistant coach for my son’s select baseball team! I really love helping the kids build skills and confidence, and I like getting out there with the kids on the baseball diamond and teaching them to love the game like I do.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
My wife and I are on a mission to visit as many U.S. National Parks as possible. Some recent highlights include Rocky Mountain, Lassen Volcanic, Redwood, and Crater Lake – places that offer breathtaking scenery completely different from the Midwest. Next my family has a tentative summer trip exploring the parks of North and South Dakota.
