Meet Jenny McCoy, Warren County’s Emergency Response Coordinator. Jenny was recently appointed Vice Chair of the Emergency Steering Committee, a critical group driving Emergency Preparedness and Response impact across the region. Her leadership and guidance will be invaluable as we tackle 2026.
- About me: I’ve worked in emergency preparedness and response for over a decade in local health departments and hospital systems, beginning my career with AmeriCorps. One focus of mine has been how systems and policy can better support community health, especially during disasters.
- Current role: I am the Emergency Response and Accreditation Coordinator at the Warren County Health District, overseeing the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Grant, the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Grant, public health accreditation, and Project DAWN.
- What I love about my work: I love the collaborative nature of the work I get to do, especially when it involves working across agencies and disciplines to solve complex problems and build strong local community networks.
- Fun fact: I am (gratefully) in my final semester of the Master of Public Health program at UC Berkeley—Go Bears!
