The Health Collaborative is committed to increasing the size, diversity and preparedness of the region’s healthcare talent pipeline. Our efforts connect employers, educators and community organizations; build and promote in-demand healthcare career programs; and provide and support increased career exploration and work-based learning opportunities throughout the region.

According to our annual workforce survey, which includes data among seven major health systems, there are more than 5,800 healthcare job openings in our region, 1,700 of which are open nursing positions. Across the entire region, when factoring in other healthcare facilities, including long-term care, skilled nursing and ambulatory care groups, the total number of regional healthcare openings is far higher and represents an opportunity to expand economic prosperity for all residents of Greater Cincinnati.

Our workforce development program TAP Health, including TAP MD, TAP HC, TAP RN, and TAP Remote, provides high school students with opportunities to explore and learn about pathways to careers as physicians or healthcare professionals. Each autumn our HealthFORCE career expo connects high school students with the region’s hottest healthcare employers, career technical training schools, and post-secondary programs.
