Take the Healthcare Workplace Violence Survey

Help Us Address Workplace Violence by Completing this 10-15 Minute Survey

Nov 1, 2023

The Tri-State Disaster Preparedness Coalition (TSDPC) and Region 6 Security Workgroup have been working toward understanding and responding to workplace violence in Southwest Ohio. In cooperation with the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association, the Workgroup has developed a region-wide Workplace Violence Survey for healthcare workers.

The goals of this survey are to develop strategies to prevent, mitigate, and propose action to create safe work environments based on a broad community assessment. This community assessment will provide a base for analysis and planning of interventions to reduce violence against healthcare workers in the future. Participation may help healthcare workers experience less violence through the future development of programs.

TSDPC invites all healthcare workers across the continuum of care, along with all EMS and Fire Services Employees, to report their experiences with workplace violence by completing this confidential web-based survey. For this survey, healthcare workers are defined as nurses, physicians, patient care technicians, and anyone in a hospital setting who provides care to patients and/or families; this can include laboratory, radiology, housekeeping staff, etc. This survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Participation in this community assessment is voluntary. No personally identifiable information or IP addresses will be collected, and results will be reported as aggregate data to protect confidentiality.

The survey can be accessed and completed via computer or mobile via the link or by scanning the QR code below.
