Summit Sets the Stage for Tackling Healthcare’s Toughest Challenges

Cincinnati-Area Healthcare Leaders to Gather at Business of Healthcare Summit

Cincinnati, OH – On Thursday, November 17, The Health Collaborative, in partnership with Xavier University, will host The Business of Healthcare Summit at the Duke Energy Convention Center. More than 40 thought leaders from Greater Cincinnati healthcare systems, payers, consumer tech, start-ups, and fortune 500 companies will examine critical topics in an immersive environment, ranging from digital transformation to supply chain challenges.

“Healthcare is transforming like never before,” stated Deirdre Beluan, Interim CEO at The Health Collaborative. “How leaders respond to challenges, as well as the complexities created from endemic COVID, will make all the difference.” Deirdre will be moderating the Future of Payment Models panel.

The Summit will take place at a time when, among other challenges, Cincinnati-area hospitals are experiencing the highest job vacancy rate in 15 years according to recent data.  The shortage of workers will impact industry growth and affect costs in a competitive labor market, just one of the highly-anticipated topics up for discussion at the event.

Apart from panel discussions, attendees can make connections and source business support services at the Vendor Showcase. More than 15 curated vendors, with a shared interest in advancing healthcare, will be available during the entire event for an informative networking experience.

Topping this year’s event is a Keynote Panel presented by HORAN and featuring eight C-Suite executives who will lead a thoughtful, structured conversation on revolutionizing healthcare amid disruption and shifting industry trends. Keynote speakers are:

    • Keith Bricking, Premier Health
    • Stephen Feagins, Bon Secours Mercy Health and Hamilton County Public Health
    • Deborah Hayes, The Christ Hospital Health Network
    • Jim Kirby, Kroger Health
    • Karen Mueller, HORAN (Moderator)
    • Shawn Ryan, Brightview
    • John Sebastian, Health Carousel
    • Jeff Wells, Marathon Health
    • Pamela Zipperer-Davis, CareStar, Inc.

“Our vision with planning this summit is to engage the entire healthcare ecosystem through connections and thought-provoking discussions that address the challenges and opportunities in doing business,” said Steve King, President, People at Your Service, and The Business of Healthcare Summit cofounder. “Attendees will have the opportunity to deep-dive solutions with over 40 thought leaders ready to lead the dialogue on healthcare improvement.”
