The Health Collaborative Announces New Members to our Finance and Audit Committee

Two new members join the Finance and Audit Committee.

The Health Collaborative is thrilled to announce the newest additions to our Finance and Audit Committee: Carla Brooks of Talbert House and Craig Gilliland of Margaret Mary Community Hospital. With their extensive backgrounds as CFOs in the healthcare industry, Carla and Craig bring a wealth of financial experience that will bolster our organization’s fiscal health.

The Health Collaborative’s financial health is key to its ability to continue its mission of uniting and empowering healthcare stakeholders and community partners to address critical healthcare issues that are best solved together. We appreciate the guidance they each will bring to our work.

Carla Brooks

Carla has over thirty years of extensive finance leadership at several healthcare organizations, most recently as CFO of Talbert House. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and master’s in Health Administration from Xavier University. Carla enjoys boating, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Craig Gilliland

Craig Gilliland, CFO & Vice President of Financial Services at the Margaret Mary Health (MMH) in Batesville, IN since February of 2023 and has over 31 years of healthcare finance experience. Prior to joining MMH, he was CFO/VP of Financial Services and Corporate Compliance Officer at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV for over four years.  He received Associate Degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shawnee State University and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University.  Craig is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association having earned their Healthcare Financial Professional and Specialist in Accounting and Finance certifications along with being a member of American College of Healthcare Executives.  He is a member of the Batesville Rotary, was an elected public school board member for 18 years and has served on various Chamber of Commerce, economic development, civic, church, and other local boards. He has been married to Melanie for 30 years and has 3 grown children.
