We recently welcomed Allison Koenig to the THC team as an Accounting Intern!
She’s a student at the University of Cincinnati, in the Lindner College of Business, Circle of Excellence Honors program.
We sat down with Allison for a brief Q&A to get to know her better and find out what she’s working on this summer.
Q: Hi Allison! Give us an overview of your role at THC in three sentences or less.
A: My role is to do whatever Marie tells me to do. [Marie Ritter is our Director of Financial Reporting]
Q: Tell us about a current activity or project you’re working on.
A: Currently I’m collecting W-9’s from all of our vendors, to make sure we have verification and documentation of all of our external vendors’ identity and eligibility for employment.
Q: What’s your favorite stress-relieving activity outside of the office, and why?
A: Swimming
Q: How old do you FEEL right now?
A: I feel 80 because I go to bed at 9:30
Q: Where is your favorite vacation spot?
A: My family went to Mexico last year and that was fun but I like mountain vacations better.
Q: If you could be in a movie of your choice, what movie would you choose and what character would you play?
A: Any character in Lord of the Rings.
Q: If you were stuck on an island and could choose one person to be stuck with who would it be? Why?
A: Probably my friend Emma because she would be entertaining, although she wouldn’t be very helpful at the survival aspect of it.
Q: If you could, what time period would you visit in history?
A: I would stay in this one, I’m very content with this time period.

Q: What is your favorite Netflix or Hulu show?
A: Vampire Diaries, I’ve watched it like four times.
Q: If you could drink one drink other than water for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Coffee!
Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to be a princess but in kindergarten, one of my teachers told me I wasn’t allowed to be one and told me to say something more realistic.
Q: What was your favorite outdoor activity as a child?
A: Swimming
Q: Did you play any sports in high school or college?
A: Three guesses… (I was on the high school swim team)
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Hopefully not working in Cincinnati, married and with a vacation home in Colorado.
Q: So far, what is your favorite part about your job?
A: Getting to see Marie every day (she didn’t even tell me to say that).
